Welcome to the Georgia Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. The Executive Committee hopes you take advantage of the many volunteer opportunities available. Simply look on the Volunteer page found under Get Involved! and let us know the area in which you are interested If there is anything we can assist you with please don't hesitate to contact one of the board members. CEU NEWS!
The current two-year CEU cycle will be extended past December 31, 2013 to June 30, 2014. For the 2012 – 2013 CEU cycle only, certified members will gain an additional six months, for a total of 30 months, to submit their 10 CEU hours. After that, the 24-month CEU cycle will return. The next cycle will begin on July 1, 2014 and end on June 30, 2016. The membership and certification billing cycle will remain unchanged.
In summary:
- · The current CEU cycle will be extended for six months into 2014.
- · The new end date of the current cycle will be June 30, 2014.
- · After June 30, 2014, the 24-month CEU cycle will return.
- · The next cycle will begin on July 1, 2014 and end on June 30, 2016.
- · The membership and certification billing cycle of a standard calendar year will remain unchanged.
PROGRAM NEWS!
We have a very exciting year planned for our Chapter and would like to highlight a few opportunities to get involved.
Call for Sponsorships:
-May 16th is Membership month and we need a variety of door prizes to offer; please help us by donating products or services. Items do not have to be industry related!
-June 15th or 22nd is our Friends and Family Event; this year is a themed bowling event at Midtown Bowling. Sponsors are able to rent a lane/bowling team at $500 each. You can send your employees, business partners or friends and family.
-October 17th-18th is the annual Student Tour. Interested in sponsoring or hosting these up and coming design students? This years event will feature a half day workshop to earn CEU’s. We are inviting you, our members, to help us show these students the importance of NKBA membership, continuing education, and our design industry!
The 2013 Program Location/Speaker Calendar is almost full and 2014 is booking up fast, don’t miss out on an opportunity to host a meeting or provide monetary donations to sponsor a program/speaker. ATTENTION GA CHAPTER MEMBERS!!! Two Important Questions……
1. IS THERE ANYONE WHO HAS APPLIED TO SIT FOR A CERTIFICATION TEST IN MARCH OR APRIL? We would like to offer support, encouragement and study groups.
2. IS THERE ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN AN ADVANCE CLASS ON SKETCHUP OR 20/20? All clients need help in visualizing your proposed project. A crisp photo realistic rendering may be the edge you need to close the sale!
