This was a fun kitchen, but challenging because it is fairly small. The homeowner wanted an updated, warm look to match the rest of the house. Storage was another factor. Therefore, we had to be wise and make the most of the space. We chose a rich brown stain and glaze on cherry for the cabinets paired with a deep wine red for the granite tops to achieve the overall look. The owner chose stainless professional appliances which compliment the warm cabinets, but gave it an updated look. The owner chose a bead board wood ceiling to give the kitchen even more detail and warmth. The final touch for the kitchen was the tile backsplash. A custom blended rhomboid tile with glass, marble, stone, and porcelain accents was chosen. This bridged all the components of the kitchen together beautifully. Even though the space is small, there is a lot of detail. The space is really defined by the quality of all the selections, not the quantity. The end result is a small, cozy kitchen with a lot of impact!
